Sample track with waypoint times and distances
The Wandrous Route Tracker is a very fast, easy-to-use way to record your movements. You simply tap the Track compass point, select your Travel Book, name the track, and off you go.
Wandrous lays down GPS waypoints at time and distance intervals that you can select. They appear on a map, as you move, along with your blue current location dot. As usual, no cell phone connection is required for this to happen (although it is needed if you want to see something on the Google map other than the waypoints and your location dot).
Backtracking
One obvious benefit of the Wandrous Route Tracker is that you can use it for very simple backtracking. Let's say you go to a football game, along with 70,000 other people. You park your car in a dirt lot two miles away to save some money. You hope you can find your way back...Well, before you head out, just start a Wandrous Track. Then, when the game is over, display it and follow it back. You will come with a few feet of your car, no worries mate.
Creating a Wandrous Trip
These waypoints are then stored as a Wandrous trip. You can share this Track with any other Wandrous user, either by email, or by uploading it to the Wandrous Store.
But there's more! While you are recording a Track, you can easily create Wandrous Places. These Places can contain stories, audio clips, and photographs. Even better, they become the basis of a guided trip. Guided trips are the real magic of Wandrous.
